As it became known from official sources, in 2016, tourist operators in Russia noted an increase in sales of vouchers for cruise river steamers. So, in comparison with the same period last year, the number of sold vouchers increased by 15-30%.
According to the representative of the Russian Union of Tourism Industry I. Tyurina, this year the cruise companies were able to reorganize in time and adapt to the lack of water in the main river highway - the Volga River. The schedule is designed to make the most of the full spring days. For example, in the early period, passengers are offered to take an exciting trip on four-deck ships, and with the onset of a dry summer, customers will be transferred to motor ships with three decks, which have lower displacement indicators.
Cruises lasting from three weeks, which follow from Moscow and Rostov-on-Don, to St. Petersburg, as well as long trips from Kazan to the capital and to St. Petersburg, are especially popular among tourists.
Tour operators are proud to celebrate the revival of river cruises in Siberia. In 2016, all comers have access to exciting trips along the Yenisei, Irtysh, Ob and Amur, along which they plan to launch three motor ships at once.
The only limiting factor is the prices, which the operators had to increase by 5-12%. It is quite possible that the cost of river cruises will continue to increase in the future, because from this year, higher excise taxes on fuel for ships began to operate.
